Sacramento driver adds third California championship to his resume of accomplishments
When it comes to the combination of talent and professionalism, Sacramento resident Sean Becker is undoubtedly one of the true ambassadors to the sport of sprint car racing. From the start of his racing career, Becker has been known for his respect on and off the race track, his sincere personality and most of all, his consistent competitive nature behind the wheel of a winged sprint car. It has been that trio of qualities that led Becker to his third racing championship in California Saturday night.

This Saturday night the glow of the lights and the thunderous roar of the engines will fill the air in the small town of Placerville just one more time. The Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Sprint Car Series is headed to town to officially wrap up the 2008 racing season at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds' quarter-mile clay oval.

After a successful run in the Golden State Challenge Sprint Car Series, Los Angeles driver Tyler Walker made a rare appearance Saturday night with the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Sprint Car Series. At the end of the night, the former World of Outlaws driver captured his second Civil War victory of the year.

Ocean Speedway hosts penultimate Civil War series event this Saturday night
Can the lightweight lead footed teenager hook “the shark” in final weeks for series title?
In its beginning the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Race Series was known as the North vs. South Civil War Sprint Car Series with participating tracks on both sides of California, from the coast to the north state, to the sierras. Now, the for the first time in several years the competitive series heads to the south bay to compete at the track known as Ocean Speedway located on the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds.

Season long series point leader Sean Becker of Sacramento continued his strong performance in the 2008 Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Race Series Saturday night, adding an additional win to his already stellar record of top finishes during the 13th leg of competition at Petaluma Speedway. Becker earned his third victory of the season with a late race pass aboard his Scott Miller owned #2sb sprint car.

Hirst leads Pacific Sprint Cup for all 30 laps; Wallace steals wingless win on last lap
Former Silver Dollar Speedway Rookie of the Year Kyle Hirst of Loomis drove his way to victory in the $3000 to win Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Series Pacific Sprint Cup event at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico Wednesday night. Hirst shared the spotlight with Grass Valley's Billy Wallace who posted the win in the $1000 to win Wingless Invitational event.

Statler takes home second Napa Valley Challenge Civil War in Calistoga
Local boy Jeff Parady drives the race of his life, holds off Cali’s best until closing laps
The Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Sprint Car Series made its final appearance of the season at the famed half mile Calistoga Speedway Saturday night for the “Napa Valley Challenge.” At the conclusion of the 20-lap feature event, former Calistoga Speedway champion Jason Statler of San Jose had won the second Napa Valley Challenge of his racing career.

Point leader Becker stays afloat with Placerville Civil War win before record crowd
Before heat racing was even complete, the grandstand at Placerville Speedway officially became sold out Saturday night as a record crowd swarmed to the El Dorado County Fairground to witness the best drivers in Northern California as the boys and girls of the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Sprint Car Series came to town for a night of wild action on the Placerville bullring for "A&A Stepping Stone Night." Long before the feature events even began, late arriving race fans were being directed to overflow seating in the pit area of the speedway.

Adam McCarthy scores biggest career win at Petaluma Speedway
For the McCarthy family, racing in the North Bay has been a family tradition that is decades strong for the San Jose father and son duo. Art McCarthy has multiple championships to his name and his son, Adam has followed in his footsteps with several wins and a local track title. Saturday night, 38-year-old Adam McCarthy took his family tradition one step further, posting the biggest win of his racing career in round nine of the Hoosier Racing Tires California Sprint Car Civil War Race Series at Petaluma Speedway.

Larson scores second Civil War Series victory at Silver Dollar Speedway in round #8
Elk Grove’s Kyle Larson became the first repeat winner of the 2008 Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Series Friday night at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. In the eighth round of the 15 race series, Larson led all but six laps of the 30-lap feature event to pick up his second straight victory on the banked quarter mile track aboard the Vertullo Racing #83v sprint car.
